Today I would like to talk about the work of the Concierge. Probably you have always asked yourself: What does Concierge mean? What does a Concierge do? Well, here are the answers.
The exact history of the word “concierge” is unknown, but some say it comes from the Latin word conserves or “fellow slaves”. The root is French and means “keeper of keys”. Back in the old days, Concierge did just that. Open the doors to guests and ensure they had everything they needed. Today we associate the word with the hotel industry.
A Concierge is to serve the guest and help him or her with any need, such as providing information about the hotel or the area, help with reservations for restaurants, activities, social events, transportation, etc.
Nowadays, in many hotels touch screen kiosks have substituted the Concierge. Not so at Casa Dorada. Here we have a team of two Concierges and one Pool Concierge and they are happy to fulfill (almost) any wish of our guests. Our obligation is the satisfaction of our guests and we will recommend the place or service that is best suited and offers the highest quality to you and your family.
