Let’s Go “Pazzo” for our New Gelatos
The word “pazzo” means “crazy” in Italian, and here at Casa Dorada we are crazy about food and making you happy.
And what better way to bring these two passions together than by making Gelato Pazzo part of our Food & Beverage offer.
Starting this month, we have invited master gelato makers to create six mouthwatering flavors for our Casa Dorada guests. Your stay with us will no longer be complete without trying these! How about Pistachio, Strawberry, Cookies & Cream, Coconut, Mandarin or Blueberry? Tempting enough?
Well, luscious favors are only part of the goodness. Our gelato uses real fruit, fresh dairy products, the highest-quality ingredients and is made in small batches, allowing us to constantly provide you with new and surprising creations.
But what is GELATO, actually?
Thanks for asking! Gelato is Italian ice cream. It is a dense, smooth, creamy, and flavorful frozen product that has three main differences from American ice cream:
- Gelato is much lower in butterfat than ice cream: Super premium ice creams contain a fat content of between 14–16%, while gelato has a fat content between 4–10%.
- Gelato is denser than ice cream: The reduced amount of air (or “overrun”) in gelato allows you to really taste the true flavor of the ingredients. Lower overrun also means you get more satisfaction from a smaller portion size because you are not eating a lot of air.
- Gelato is served at a warmer temperature than ice cream: Serving gelato at a warmer temperature prevents numbing of your taste buds and allows you to experience the full flavor of the gelato in an immediate and intense sensation.
So, are you ready to go “pazzo” for our gelatos? Our gelatería is easy to find, scooping up fantastic treats from 10am until 6pm every day! Look for it next to the Trattoría on Pool Level.
