Make Your Own Pizza and Enjoy Our Extensive New Wine List
Eating pizza is fun enough on its own, but imagine adding to the picture Casa Dorada’s Executive Chef as a master pizzaiolo and yourself in an apron rolling your own pizza dough and making a whole Italian-style meal from scratch!
Our “Cooking with the Chef” series has already become a popular happening and yesterday’s session wasn’t an exception. Eager wannabe chefs gathered at 12 Tribes Restaurant joining Chef Carlos Bonilla for this hands-on cooking experience.
On the menu were delicious thin-crust Tuscan pizza made in a wood-fired oven and fresh Garden Salad. Students learned how to make a perfect dough, how to shape it and of course how to toss it into its correct pizza thickness and roundness using the fun throwing-the-dough-in-the-air technique.
Once everyone’s pizzas were ready, it was time to sit back and enjoy this truly Italian meal accompanied by fine wine selections especially paired for the event.
And speaking of wines, you may like to know that we have recently expanded our wine list both in Trattoria -- where we currently offer eight different wines by the glass -- and at 12 Tribes, where you can choose from 16 wines by the glass, and nearly 200 bottles from around the globe, including about 40 Mexican labels.
