Mexican Rock Legend Kicks Back at Casa Dorada
In addition to tequila and Mariachi, one of Mexico’s most renowned exports to the world is without a doubt Maná – a band that has been rocking the nation for nearly three decades!
This month we had the honor and pleasure of having as a VIP guest the band’s drummer, Alex González. Having been part of Mana since the very beginning, he’s become an icon of Mexican rock music and created a huge following both in Mexico and abroad.
Considered the biggest Latin rock band in the world, Maná has earned four Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, six Premios Juventud awards, fourteen Billboard Latin Music Awards and fifteen Premios Lo Nuestro awards. Their concerts are constantly jam-packed and each new album becomes an instant hit, so imagine the excitement Alex’s visit created at Casa Dorada!
And the best part was that huge success and celebrity status haven’t affected Alex’s down-to-earth attitude and friendliness. During his stay with us, he was happy to have pictures taken with his fans and took the time to chat with us about the hotel and Los Cabos as a destination.
What a treat!
It was awesome having you, Alex, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Casa Dorada soon!
