Shopping

Los Cabos shopping excursions are a delightful and relaxing way to spend an afternoon or morning, whether you’re looking for a few inexpensive trinkets or a piece of fine art. In Cabo San Lucas, shopping starts at the sophisticated Plaza Puerto Paraíso, where you’ll find the latest designer fashions, fine art galleries and exclusive boutiques. Only two blocks from Casa Dorada Los Cabos, Puerto Paraíso combines indoor shopping, the exclusive Luxury Avenue and entertainment with cascading waterfalls and harbor-view areas for strolling. Duty-free bargains and luxury boutiques can also be found nearby while the resort’s own shopping arcade is just steps away.

San Jose Del Cabo

San Jose Del Cabo

If you’d prefer to stay closer to the resort, visit nearby San Jose del Cabo. This colonial-style sister city is located 20 miles northeast and seven miles from the International Airport. Definitely worth a daytrip, the town’s focal point is its historic center around the main square and church. Known for its galleries and boutiques, San Jose offers an entirely different travel experience. Unlike Cabo San Lucas, hilly side streets, gracious old homes and restored adobe haciendas give San Jose the feel of Old Mexico.

Todos Santos

Todos Santos

Just about an hour’s drive north of Cabo San Lucas along the picturesque Highway 19 lies a gem of a town: Todos Santos. Hidden within the classic Spanish-style architecture and adobe brick buildings are countless art galleries and trinket stores just around the corner from the legendary Hotel California. Called by many the Baja Art Colony, Todos Santos is a tranquil town full of mystique and magic, where time takes on an ethereal quality. Designated as a Magical Town (Pueblo Magico) by the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico in 2006, Todos Santos joined the list of 30 Mexican towns whose outstanding history, art, architecture, gastronomy and ancient charm make them simply magnificent. As a Magical Town, Todos Santos continuously improves its overall image while maintaining and emphasizing its rich customs and traditions. In addition, the town offers visitors an array of special events and festivals throughout the year promoting local cuisine, art, film and more, making a day trip from Los Cabos especially worthwhile.

All sorts of water sports remain immensely popular, including world-class diving, snorkeling and kayaking.

East Cape

The East Cape section of Baja is overflowing with white sand beaches (some hidden and quite private), warm, crystalline blue waters and miles of a living coral reef. It’s no surprise that diving enthusiasts often visit Cabo Pulmo and Los Barriles. They’re joined by those seeking world-class sport fishing, windsurfing and kiteboarding.
